Terms of Service
Version 2026-10-14, effective 14 October 2026
These terms apply to your use of SecureSimple. By creating a login you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not create one.
1. What SecureSimple does
You tell us which products you run. We watch the public vulnerability records (the US National Vulnerability Database, CISA's list of vulnerabilities known to be exploited, and the listings vendors publish) and tell you, on the site and by email, when something new is published for those products and which version to be on.
We never connect to your systems. Everything we know about what you run is what you tell us.
2. What it cannot promise
SecureSimple helps you notice problems. It does not make your systems secure, and it is not a guarantee that nothing else needs attention.
- The records we rely on are published by others. They can be late, incomplete or wrong, and a vendor often announces a problem or a fix days before the official record says so. The vendor's own advisory is always the most current.
- Matching a vulnerability to the products you list is automatic. It can miss a problem that affects you, or report one that does not.
- The plain-language summaries are written by an AI from the official record. They can be wrong; the official record is the authority.
- Whether and how to update, and keeping your systems secure, remain your responsibility. Nothing on this site is professional security advice for your particular situation.
3. Your login and your accounts
Keep your password private. Anything done with your login is treated as done by you. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access.
An account belongs to its owner, who decides its plan and who else can use it. Owners and admins can invite and remove members. Everyone in an account can see all of its environments.
4. Plans and payment
The Free plan is free. Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or yearly, by our payment processor, Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
Prices can change. A new price applies to you from your next renewal, and we will tell you before it does.
You can cancel at any time. Cancelling stops future charges and takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for. We do not generally refund part of a period, but if something has gone wrong, contact us and we will deal with it fairly.
5. Changing or ending a plan
When a paid plan ends, the account returns to the Free plan. We do not delete anything because of it. If the account then holds more than its plan allows, you may not be able to add more until it fits.
6. Acceptable use
Do not use SecureSimple to break the law, to infringe anyone's rights, or to attack, overload or probe the service or the systems around it. Do not try to reach data that belongs to other people, resell or republish the service's output as your own feed, or create logins or accounts to get around a plan's limits.
We may suspend or close a login or account that does these things.
7. Availability
We work to keep SecureSimple running and your data safe, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. Maintenance, failures and problems at the sources we depend on can delay or stop alerts.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, SecureSimple is provided as is, and we are not liable for a security incident, a missed or late alert, lost data, lost profits, or indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the service.
Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event that gave rise to it.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Each version has a version number and an effective date, shown at the top of this page, and we keep a record of which version you accepted. We will tell you about a significant change before it takes effect.
10. Ending your login or account
You can close an account you own, or delete your login, at any time under Account settings. We may close a login or account that breaches these terms, and we will tell you by email where we reasonably can.
